Overview:
The Gold Spot Rabbit Snail is a beautiful freshwater snail recognised for its dark spiral shell decorated with distinctive golden spots and its characteristic rabbit-like face with long antennae. Its unique coloration and slow, graceful movements make it an eye-catching addition to planted and community aquariums.
Origin:
Native to Sulawesi, Indonesia, Tylomelania species naturally inhabit warm freshwater lakes and rivers with sandy or rocky substrates.
Feeding:
Omnivorous scavenger. Feeds on algae, biofilm, detritus, and leftover fish food. Supplement with algae wafers, sinking pellets, and blanched vegetables such as zucchini, cucumber, or spinach for balanced nutrition.

Behaviour:
Peaceful and slow-moving. Often seen grazing on algae and biofilm or exploring the aquarium. Rabbit snails are livebearers, producing a small number of well-developed young rather than laying eggs.
Experience Level:
Beginner to intermediate. Hardy when kept in stable water conditions and with sufficient calcium for strong shell growth.
