Overview:
The Black Antenna Rabbit Snail is a unique and fascinating freshwater snail known for its elongated spiral shell and distinctive rabbit-like face. Featuring dark antennae and a textured shell, this species adds natural beauty and interesting behaviour to planted and community aquariums.
Origin:
Native to Sulawesi, Indonesia, Tylomelania species naturally inhabit warm freshwater lakes and rivers with sandy or rocky substrates.
Feeding:
Omnivorous scavenger. Feeds on algae, biofilm, detritus, and leftover fish food. Supplement with algae wafers, sinking pellets, and blanched vegetables such as zucchini, cucumber, or spinach to maintain a balanced diet.

Tank Mates:

Behaviour:
Peaceful and slow-moving. Spends most of its time grazing on algae and biofilm or exploring the aquarium. Rabbit snails are livebearers and produce a small number of well-developed young rather than laying eggs.
Experience Level:
Beginner to intermediate. Hardy when kept in stable water conditions and provided with adequate calcium for shell health.
