Overview:
The Brown Ramshorn Snail is a popular freshwater snail known for its flat, spiral-shaped shell with rich brown coloration. Its calm nature and ability to help clean detritus and algae make it a great addition to planted and community aquariums.
Origin:
Native to North and Central America, Planorbella duryi is commonly found in slow-moving rivers, ponds, and freshwater habitats with abundant vegetation.
Feeding:
Omnivorous. Feeds on algae, biofilm, decaying plant matter, and leftover fish food. Supplement with algae wafers or blanched vegetables such as zucchini, spinach, or cucumber for optimal health.
