Origin:
Native to slow-moving rivers, ponds, and rice paddies of India, Bangladesh, and Nepal, often found in shaded, plant-rich waters.
Feeding:
Omnivorous and undemanding. Will thrive on high-quality flakes, micro pellets, and frozen or live foods such as daphnia, cyclops, and brine shrimp. Include vegetable-based foods to maintain color and health.
Tank Mates:
Very peaceful and suitable for small community setups with other nano species such as rasboras, small tetras, Corydoras, danios, and dwarf gouramis. Keep in groups of at least 6–8 for best color, activity, and confidence.
