Origin

Native to shaded streams, rivers, and swampy areas of West Africa.

Lighting & Placement

  • Placement: Foreground to midground, best attached to driftwood or rock

  • Important: Do not bury the rhizome—this can cause rot.

Feeding

Not nutrient-demanding but benefits from:

  • Occasional liquid fertilizer

  • Root tabs if placed near substrate

  • CO₂ optional (enhances growth but not required)

Tank Mates

Compatible with nearly all freshwater community species, including:

  • Small fish and peaceful community fish
