Origin:
Developed in Japan, the Kawarimono group encompasses all non-traditional koi varieties, with selective breeding emphasizing unusual patterns, colors, and butterfly fins for elegance.

Feeding:
Omnivorous. Feed high-quality koi pellets as the main diet, supplemented with vegetables, shrimp, or seasonal treats. Feed 1–2 times daily during warmer months.

Tank / Pond Mates:
Peaceful and social. Best kept with other koi or calm, similarly sized pond fish such as goldfish.
