Origin

Feeding
Carnivorous and opportunistic. Accepts sinking pellets, frozen foods (bloodworms, brine shrimp, mysis), and small live foods. A varied, protein-rich diet supports health and coloration.
Tank Mates
Peaceful toward similarly sized species. Compatible with rainbowfish, small cichlids, and other community fish of non-aggressive temperament. Avoid very small fish that could be eaten.
Aggression
Low. May establish small territories on the substrate but generally non-aggressive if space and hiding spots are available.
