These plates interlock like armor, giving it an <strong data-start=\"476\" data-end=\"505\">armadillo-like appearance<\/strong> and making it incredibly resistant to the crashing surf of wave-swept rocky shores. Its strange armored body allows it to <strong data-start=\"628\" data-end=\"654\">cling tightly to rocks<\/strong>, even in areas of strong currents where other urchins cannot survive.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"728\" data-end=\"843\"><strong data-start=\"728\" data-end=\"739\">Origin:<\/strong><br data-start=\"739\" data-end=\"742\" \/>Native to the <strong data-start=\"756\" data-end=\"781\">tropical Indo-Pacific<\/strong>, often found in <strong data-start=\"798\" data-end=\"840\">high-energy, wave-exposed rocky coasts<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"845\" data-end=\"848\" \/>\n<p data-start=\"850\" data-end=\"864\"><strong data-start=\"850\" data-end=\"862\">Feeding:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"865\" data-end=\"1066\">\n<li data-start=\"865\"
