Overview:<\/strong>
The Red Check Goby<\/strong> is a striking sand- and rubble-dwelling marine fish<\/strong> recognized for its distinct red-checkered pattern along a streamlined body<\/strong>. Active and engaging, it spends much of its time hovering just above the substrate or darting between rocks<\/strong>, making it an interesting addition to community and reef tanks<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Origin:<\/strong>
Native to the Indo-Pacific region<\/strong>, including tropical reef flats and sandy lagoon areas, where it occupies sandy patches and rubble near coral structures<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Feeding:<\/strong>
Carnivorous \u2013 feeds primarily on small invertebrates, copepods, and tiny crustaceans<\/strong>. In aquariums, it accepts frozen mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, chopped seafood, and high-quality sinking pellets<\/strong>. Small, frequent feedings are recommended.<\/p>\n

Tank Mates:<\/strong>
Peaceful and reef-safe<\/strong>, suitable for tanks with other small to medium, non-aggressive fish<\/strong>. Avoid large predatory species that may see it as prey.<\/p>\n

Aggression:<\/strong>
Low.<\/strong> Territorial around its chosen spot but generally peaceful with other fish.<\/p>\n
