Origin<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Native to the Western Atlantic Ocean, including the Caribbean Sea, the Gulf of Mexico, and the Florida Keys, the Rooster Hogfish inhabits coral reefs and sandy bottoms, often using its snout to root through the substrate in search of food.<\/p>\n

Feeding<\/strong><\/h4>\n

A carnivorous species with a hearty appetite, the Rooster Hogfish feeds on crustaceans, mollusks, and other meaty foods.
