It is known for its ability to quickly burrow into sandy or rubble areas, leaving only its protruding eyes and mouth visible.<\/span><span class=\"\">As a carnivore, the Yellow barred Jawfish feeds on small crustaceans, worms, and other invertebrates by quickly emerging from its burrow to catch prey.<\/span><span class=\"\">\u00a0In the aquarium, it should be offered a diet of live or frozen foods like brine shrimp, mysis shrimp, and chopped seafood.<\/span><span class=\"\">The Yellow barred Jawfish is generally peaceful but can be territorial towards its own species or similar jawfish.
