It typically has <strong data-start=\"418\" data-end=\"441\">two types of spines<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"445\" data-end=\"565\">\n<li data-start=\"445\" data-end=\"486\">\n<p data-start=\"447\" data-end=\"486\">Long, slender, banded primary spines.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"487\" data-end=\"565\">\n<p data-start=\"489\" data-end=\"565\">Shorter, finer, often reddish or brown secondary spines covering the body.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"567\" data-end=\"799\">This urchin is not only beautiful but also <strong data-start=\"610\" data-end=\"622\">venomous<\/strong>, delivering painful stings if handled carelessly.
