The key difference is the <strong data-start=\"527\" data-end=\"591\">distinct black spot at the base of the pectoral fin (\u201caxil\u201d)<\/strong>, which gives the species its name. Adults reach around <strong data-start=\"647\" data-end=\"667\">10 cm (4 inches)<\/strong> and display colours ranging from shimmering green to blue, depending on lighting. Their hardy nature, active swimming, and peaceful temperament make them ideal community reef fish.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"852\" data-end=\"868\"><strong data-start=\"856\" data-end=\"866\">Origin<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"869\" data-end=\"1083\">Widespread across the <strong data-start=\"891\" data-end=\"907\">Indo-Pacific<\/strong>, including the Red Sea, Great Barrier Reef, Fiji, Indonesia, and Micronesia.
