Unlike true clawed lobsters, <em data-start=\"496\" data-end=\"507\">Panulirus<\/em> species lack large pincers but possess strong spiny exoskeletons for defence. They can grow up to <strong data-start=\"606\" data-end=\"627\">40 cm (16 inches)<\/strong> in length and are nocturnal, spending daylight hours hiding in caves before venturing out at night to forage.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"741\" data-end=\"757\"><strong data-start=\"745\" data-end=\"755\">Origin<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"758\" data-end=\"975\">Native to the <strong data-start=\"772\" data-end=\"795\">Indo-Pacific region<\/strong>, including the Red Sea, East Africa, Indonesia, Fiji, and Northern Australia. Typically found in coral reefs and rocky crevices, from shallow lagoons to depths of about 15\u201320 m.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"977\" data-end=\"994\"><strong data-start=\"981\" data-end=\"992\">Feeding<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"995\" data-end=\"1152\">The Blue Lobster is an <strong data-start=\"1018\" data-end=\"1042\">omnivorous scavenger<\/strong>. In the wild, it feeds on algae, detritus, molluscs, and small invertebrates.
